Rules that run inside every trade
Hookium launches coins with hooks. A hook can take a cut, burn coins, cap wallets, lock early buyers or slow bots down. The creator picks them at launch, they are written into the coin's contracts, and after that nobody can change them: not the creator, not us. It runs on Elysium, Kinetiq's chain for Hyperliquid: 100 ms blocks, gas paid in HYPE, Ethereum wallets.
The hooks
A share of every trade fills the coin's pot. Anyone can run the pot every few minutes and earns 0.5% of it for doing so. It spends the rest by the split fixed at launch: bought back and burned, and/or streamed to holders.
A share of the coins in every buy and sell is destroyed for good, so the supply only goes down. 0.25% to 2%.
A share of every buy and sell, in HYPE, claimable by the creator any time. 0.5%, 1% or 2%.
Every transfer that would push a wallet over the cap is refused, buys and plain transfers alike. Until graduation, or for good.
Wallets that buy in the first seconds after launch can't sell or move the coin until a set time after launch. Diamond hands, enforced.
Nobody but the creator can buy in the launch block, and for the first minutes only a few buys go through each second. Bundlers and bots get refused.
The creator's own first buy goes to the pot contract and unlocks to them bit by bit over 7, 30 or 90 days. No dev dump on day one.
An approved contract that sees every transfer of the coin and can refuse it: cooldowns, allow-lists, game rules. It can never move anyone's money.
The pot
If a coin has a pot, a share of every trade (0.5%, 1% or 2%, set at launch) collects in it. Every 5 minutes anyone can press Run pot on the coin's page and earn 0.5% of it. The rest is spent exactly as the coin's split says: bought back on the coin's own market and burned, paid to holders, or both.
The holders' share doesn't land all at once. It streams out over 60 minutes, second by second, to every wallet in proportion to what it holds at that moment. Buying just before a payout and dumping right after earns next to nothing. Your rewards add up on the coin's page and you claim them whenever you like.
A pot can't be run by a contract or in a block that already traded the coin, so nobody can sandwich a buyback.
The curve and graduation
Every coin has 1,000,000,000 coins and starts on a bonding curve priced in HYPE. When 793.1M have been bought, the coin graduates in the same transaction: the raised HYPE and the other 206.9M coins become a pool nobody can ever withdraw. The pool is part of the coin's own contracts, so every hook keeps working after graduation.
Fees
- Platform: 2% of every trade.
- Creator and pot: whatever the coin launched with, shown on its page. At most 2% each.
- Burn: taken in coins, not HYPE, and destroyed.
- Anti-snipe: an extra 10% at launch, fading to nothing over 30s. The creator's own first buy in the launch transaction doesn't pay it.
Custom hooks
A custom hook is a contract that sees every transfer of the coin and can refuse it, for cooldowns, allow-lists or game rules. It can't move anyone's coins or HYPE. Each one is reviewed and approved before creators can pick it. Building one is a single function: onTransfer(token, from, to, amount, isBuy, isSell). Send it to us on X.
What hooks can't do
Hooks can't stop you selling for good. The longest early lock is 7 days and the creator lock tops out at 90 days. Hooks can't be added, removed or changed after launch. Nobody holds a key that can pause a coin or take its pool.
Risk
Memecoins are very risky and most go to zero. Hooks change how a coin trades, not whether people want it. Elysium is a new network and these contracts are new. Only use money you can lose.
